Fall Time Visit Part 2

Hi there! Emeraude again, back for another edition of the fall series here on the blog. Today I am continuing with part two of the Fall Time Visit post, telling you all about when Angel and I were reunited with Alyssa. If you haven't read part one yet, go catch up here before you continue reading.

Saturday after we cleaned up our sleepover mess, we decided to go for a little nature walk. Our first stop was downtown to go grab Polaroid refill for my camera because we had used up all the  film the night before. On our way to the store we saw this little guy just chilling on the sidewalk and were pretty sure he may have been stepped on. We helped him into the grass where he seemed much happier.
Here is our new spider friend on the side walk.
Here is me saving him from the sidewalk.

After we made our new spider friend, and bought some film for the camera, we made our way toward the trail. We didn't hike the whole trail because it started hailing and we wanted to get back home for lunch, but it was very fun none the less. The trails are always pretty, in autumn they are especially gorgeous.
They leaves are so pretty!

This is another nice trail, longer than the other one! This is when it started to snow, then hail.

Road to and from the trails.

When we were done with out outdoor escapades, we went back to my house to warm up and eat some lunch. We made a quintessential meal that we used to enjoy often when we were all together more often; spicy ramen noodles covered in melted cheese. It's probably the least nutritious thing you can possible eat, but it's nostalgic and delicious. After that, we made another old favorite of ours: ready to cook sugar cookies. We used to always eat these as kids when my mom would make them for us. Cookies were always my favorite sleepover snack to enjoy. We noticed that they have improved since our days in the sixth grade (which isn't actually that long ago) in that they are now edible raw. That's a great improvement since I used to test one from each package before cooking anyway, and now I don't risk becoming sick. They are better baked anyway, to be honest it's just a ritual.

Our fancy cookie-baking exploits.

We decided to get back together after dinner that night for a little fire in my backyard, something we also used to do all the time. After building and lighting a little fire we collected s'more fixings and I dug out my marshmallow roasting sticks (from right in the front porch)and turned up an old playlist of ours. The s'mores were delicious and a fun call back to our old traditions. We were lucky enough that it was clear outside as well, making it a great night to see all the pretty stars in the sky.

We were ready to sit back and relax for a while.

It was a great weekend together, and I think I speak for all three of us in saying that it was relaxing and just what we needed to enjoy our long weekend break from school. See you all again Saturday for another post in the fall series!

Hi, nice to meet you!

Well hello there. We are Alyssa and Emeraude, the Baked Beanettes. Two teenage girls who decided to write a blog together. We have been close friend for ages and share a lot of interest and figured "We can't be the only fifteen year olds who love tea, reading, Netflix, journaling, and cats," so here we are. This blog is here for each of us to make posts about topics that interest us that week, such as shows we're watching and things we're discussing together. Bear with us as we figure things out and please check out the "About Us" section to learn about our personalities. We're starting with two posts a week, understanding people have more time to read in the state the world is currently in we will try to put out as much as possible. You can count on Wednesdays and Sundays for now. Have a lovely day, With Love,  Emeraude & Alyssa

Our Friendship Volume I

Hiya! Emeraude here, wishing you a stupendous Sunday. Today I'm writing about Alyssa and I's friendship, and we'll hear her input this Wednesday. We have known each other since kindergarten having grown up in a small town, but got really close when I was in 6th Grade and she was in 7th Grade. I think we bonded first over our mutual love of swimming. I remember a summer where I would call her every night and we'd meet at the community pool and swim from opening to closing. We have never been interested in the popular crew, I believe that's part of the reason that we get along. Somehow we always end up loving the same things. Even when we don't plan to. We both love Sabrina Carpenter (a pop musician if you weren't aware, highly recommended) and watched her on the show "Girl Meets World" before we even really started hanging out. When the Netflix show "Lost in Space" came out we both watched it with our family's at the same time and foun

Dealing with Stress

Hiya! Emeraude here, wishing you a wonderful Wednesday. Do people even use the word stupendous? The next time I'm talking with somebody I'm going to use it as much as possible, just to see their reaction. Before we get into a discussion about teenagers and stress, I should answer Alyssa's question from last week. Her question was "What is your slushie order?" her's is interesting, mine is very simple! I like a medium blue-raspberry slushie on a hot summer day.  Everyone is stressed about something, that's just life. But do you know the actual definition of stress? I didn't, I wasn't even really sure what the difference between stress and anxiety was. That's why today I decided to write about dealing with stress.  I wanted to start by making sure I had a clear understanding on what was stress in my life and what was anxiety, because I think a common mistake I make when discussing these issues (which are equally important in my mind)
